Castlefield

Castlefield is an area of central Manchester in North West England. The area is the site of a Roman-British settlement and was one of the first industrialised areas in the world. It was also a major part of the city’s slum clearances during the Victorian era.

Today, Castlefield is a popular residential area and tourist destination, with a number of bars, restaurants and hotels. It is also home to several listed buildings and monuments, including the Castlefield Aqueduct and the Roman Fort of Mamucium.
